"Picasso and Paper" at the Royal Academy

With our very own Picasso exhibition planned for the summer (details to follow soon) we’re extremely excited to visit “Picasso and Paper”, the latest blockbuster show at the RA that opens later this week.

Throughout the course of his nine-decade career the artist was almost supernaturally receptive to the potential of different kinds of paper. Newspaper, cigarette packets, wallpaper - he used them all. On one occasion he got hold of 275 sheets of 17th Century paper, which soon found themselves bearing an exquisite suite of images.

Picasso is one of those artists whose ingenuity seems inexhaustible; there’s always more to see and new perspectives to explore. The advance reviews of this show are glowing, and we can’t wait to see it.

Be sure to look out for details of own Picasso exhibition coming later this year!

“Picasso and Paper” will run at the Royal Academy from 25th January - 13th April.
