Corine Ko

FRENCH PAINTER

Originally from Paris, Corine Ko has lived and worked in Marseille since 1998. Through her work, she celebrates the feminine figure as an inner journey, a passage through melancholy, from deep roots to the elevation of the soul. Each painting is a silent meditation on the passage of time, the fragility of the moment, and the fleeting beauty of life.

Inspired by the golden sensuality of Gustav Klimt, the diaphanous grace of Marie Laurencin, and the refined elegance of Japanese art, Corine works with very diluted acrylic paint, while also exploring mixed media techniques. She incorporates collages of paper, photographs and Japanese paper into her creations, enriching the textures and poetic resonances of the compositions.

Each woman Corine depicts becomes a visual poem. She embodies both the invisible strength of roots and the aspiration toward spiritual elevation. Between matter and transparency, her works invite intimate contemplation, an inner breath where poetry, softness, and meditation intertwine.
