Sebastien was born in Rochefor-sur-Mer in France in 1975. Whilst studying for a PhD in biochemistry Sebastien discovered the work of Jean-Claude Roy who left a big impression on him.
For seven years he spent his evenings and weekends researching art, finding and refining his own artistic style.
His work focuses on the theme of “walls” and the traces left on them by man over time, recording life’s occasions. The subject of his art is anecdotal, the result of which is deeply thought-provoking; each painting is an education.
Sebastien first exhibited in the UK in 2008 and his following has grown rapidly since then. His work is highly sought after and is held in private collections across the UK and Europe, the USA, China and Malaysia.
