Born in Cologne, Christa moved to southern Spain in 1993. She has always had an interest in art and began painting at a young age, although her path through university followed psychology. From theatre stage designer to social worker in a prison, Christa’s working career has been a division between the arts and social work from the beginning.

Since moving to Spain she has dedicated her life to the visual arts, painting full-time and running art workshops, still with a focus on young people from difficult social backgrounds.

In her work she employs different techniques with oils, watercolours and acrylics, depending on the theme, and incorporates materials such as sand, wood, glass and metals, which she collects on her travels.
